Thanks for following us here, on Facebook and Twitter. Unfortunately, much of what was discussed at the conference is confidential and so we didn’t want to post in a public venue. Please check with your Local President and/or someone from your Local who attended for a full update. It was great using Facebook and Twitter to post quotes and to generate comments from attendees, and we hope you’ll keep following us both here on this blog and throughout our social media!
Great its in the hands of our local appointed presidents. Probably wont here much of anything concerning the conference. Not to be negative or anything, just going by past history. Would be nice if national could put a summary of the conference together and email out the information to all dues paying members, the (BUE ). Just a thought.
I attended the conference and received alot of info in regards to negotiation language. What I did not receive was valuable info to bring back to our members. I believe we are heading in the right direction but at a snails pace. It has been a long nine plus years in the making and I feel management is dragging the process out and letting the clock expire on out negotiations. We must put them against the wall and demand that our requests be heard and carried forward so we can continue with our commitment to securing our nations ports. We need a contract and a strong union to protect our brothers and sisters with this endeavor to protect America for years to come. God bless.
Kevin, Thank you so much for updating us! I, for one, have been wondering what went on and how much got accomplished. Members at our airport (Palm Springs, ca) have been voicing some dissatisfaction that we’re not updated on progress or if there will be any progress (“they’re just going to take our money.”). I keep telling them to keep the faith, but….. Thanks again!
Facebook too, please
So whats going on at the conference? Give us some detail!
I was following on Twitter as well there was not to much tweeted.
