AFGE is very pleased to have come to an agreement with TSA on the voting details for the Referendum Ratification. The contract negotiated between TSA and AFGE must be ratified by a majority of those TSA officers who cast a ballot. There are a few issues which are going to a neutral panel of arbitrators whose decisions will go into effect without a ratification vote; also the new dispute resolution process negotiated between TSA and AFGE is separate from the contract and will go into effect without a ratification vote

Voting will be conducted on-site at the large airports and via mail ballot for all other airports. Mail balloting will run from October 1 – November 2. On-site voting will take place on to-be-scheduled dates between Oct. 1-Nov. 2. Ballot counting will be done by November 9.

The mail ballots will be distributed on-site on Oct. 1 and then bargaining unit employees will mail in the ballots using postage paid envelopes. The dates and times for the on-site voting will be different at each airport and terminal, as established locally by AFGE and management. We will provide that information, and any other pertinent details, as soon as possible.
