  1. TSA GEG has not made union payroll forms available in fact they refuse to assist.

  2. Hi George, The form is available on iShare. Click on the link that says Forms, MDs, ODs. Go to “Forms”. The form is TSA form 1158 (Voluntary Deduction). The agency is not required to give you the form. Once you complete the form, make a copy and submit the original to your local HR Specialist and fax the copy to AFGE HQ. Hope this helps.

  3. I have been with T.S.A. from the start. I have also worked most of the holidays and my pay check is the same as some one who has the day off. I know the budget is tight but give me comp time for the day or time and a half plus holiday pay for working like all goverment job

  4. Hopefully someone has info on this Smiths Detection ResponderR.
We (PBI) just received this antique piece of machinery that looks like it was made in the 40′s. Again, more radiation is involved. This “monstrosity” is used for testing liquids. If anyone has any info on this machine please reply.

    Thank you

  5. Does anyone know what king of college discounts or financial aid AFGE provides to TSA employees who are in school or wish to go to school?

  6. Hello my name is gloria.lee a while back a rep from your union came and talk to us about you. we sighn in and the rep never came back. we waited and nothing we sighn off after a year. its like we are not important we feel like you just took our money. now that your are union maybe you could come back and see what you can do for us. or maybe we are not important for you still.

  7. Gloria – It would be helpful for us to know what airport you are at so we can make sure someone reaches out to you. Every single TSO is important to us. If you’d like to talk to someone personally, please feel free to call our help line at 866-392-6832.

  8. Jean – AFGE does offer education discounts to its members. If you are a member, you can log in to the AFGE website (www.afge.org) and go to Member Benefits under the Member Benefits and Resources tab at the top of the page. You can also call our Membership Department at (202) 639-6410.

  9. When is AFGE going to address the “LOST SENIORITY” of private screeners who were asked to wait and not abandon their posts while TSA hired others for Supervisor and Lead positions. We were assured that our start dates would be the earliest start date of our airport for bidding purposes.. A new directive in 2010 took this away from any private screener who was in fact promoted. I went from being in the top 25% of my group to the bottom 25% because I was promoted!

  10. Thanks for the previous response. I have another question. What is the status on the recent cuts for the transportations benefits? Is this temporary or permanent? What was the reason for the cuts? Is there anything that can be done to get back the previous benefit rates? Is there any way to get reimbursed or obtain additional discounts for transportation?

    Thanks

  11. My daughter works for TSA at the Seattle Airport. She was injured on the job about a year ago. She was put on light duty. She has been harrassed at work this whole time and it is getting worse now. She is ready to quit because of it. I told her she needs to contact her Union. She has tried to contact her rep. I am now looking for an attorney. Anything you can do for her?
